FIFA President Gianni Infantino wrote a letter to praise newly-crowned CAF Champions League winners Pyramids FC for their historic win.

The Sky Blues triumphed 3-2 on aggregate over Mamelodi Sundowns to become just the fourth Egyptian side to win the continental tournament.
It marked Pyramids' second major honour after winning the Egyptian Cup in 2023/24 and the club will be hoping to defend their title against Zamalek on Thursday night.
Pyramids' win caught the eye of FIFA boss Gianni Infantino who sent a heartfelt message to Pyramids President and CEO, Mr. Mamdouh Eid, according to Pan-Africa Football.
"Congratulations to Pyramids FC for winning the 2024 – 2025 CAF Champions League on Sunday 1 June," Infantino said. "I extend my sincere congratulations on this historic achievement and your qualification for the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup."
Infantino praised the club's staff and players for their role in the historic feat.
"By means of this letter, I would also like to pass on my compliments to all those who have contributed to this result, the players, the head coach, but also the technical and medical team and, of course, the fans," the President added.
Additionally, the Italian said the club's hard work and professionalism laid the groundwork for future success.
"Such achievement is no doubt based on hard work, professionalism, and attention to detail, as well as passion and love of the game. All this augurs well for a very promising future and will undoubtedly pave the way for future success," Infantino added.
