12 Chiefs, Bucs & Downs Players With Contract Extensions

With the new season nearing, Soccer Laduma looks at players from Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns who had their contracts extended. 

The 'Big Three' clubs of South African football have let go of quite a few players, but have also kept the ones they believe can still add value.

All the clubs will be competing in CAF competitions in the coming season. Sundowns and Pirates have qualified for the Champions League, while Amakhosi will be competing in the Confederation Cup.

The clubs want to ensure they have enough in their squads to compete on all fronts, which is why they have decided to keep some of the players by either exercising the options in their contracts or agreeing on new deals.
