The Glamour Boys are in the market for a striker, having recently parted ways with Ranga Chivaviro. A number of names have been linked with the Soweto giants, and two who have been prominent in recent weeks are Kibu Denis and Jean Charles Ahoua.
Both have been instrumental for the Reds of Msimbazi during the 2024/25 campaign. Not only have they spearheaded the club’s Tanzanian Premier League title challenge, but they also played pivotal roles in helping the club reach their first-ever CAF Confederation Cup final.
Starting from the competition’s preliminary stages, Kibu scored four goals while Ahoua netted three. This has seemingly caught the attention of the South African outfit. Speculation over the team’s interest was further fuelled when Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi was recently spotted at Simba’s latest league clash against KMC FC.
While the Tunisian may be interested in acquiring the services of either one of Simba’s attackers, he may not be successful, as a club official, according to The Guardian Tanzania, has claimed that they harbour no intentions of selling their stars.
“We are building a team for long-term success, and that means keeping our most valuable players,” the official was quoted as saying.
