Riveiro is set to take charge of his first Egyptian Premier League game in charge of The Red Devils, following intense preparations during pre-season.
The former Orlando Pirates boss is hoping to start the season strongly after a poor FIFA Club World Cup showing, where Al Ahly were eliminated in the group stage.
With the 44-time league winners starting the defence of the title against Modern Sport on Saturday evening, Riveiro reportedly issued words of warning to his players ahead of the season, Ahly News reported.
The publication reported that the Spaniard was not going to tolerate any players who failed to follow his instructions both on and off the field.
Riveiro has held a meeting with his players where he emphasised the need for full commitment toward his tactics and that anyone who failed to follow them would be frozen out of the club, adding that all players would be treated equally.

"There is no place for names, and no room for favouritism," Riveiro said.
"Whoever proves himself in training and matches will get the chance; whoever disobeys instructions will have no role in the team."
