Kaizer Chiefs captain Yusuf Maart appeared to leave the door open for an exit at the end of the season, with a vague response which will leave many wondering what the future holds for him at Naturena.
Maart is on the verge of completing a third season with the Soweto giants and it certainly has not been an easy journey. He joined the club at a time when there was hope that things would finally take a turn, but it's gone from bad to worse for them and, in recent times, he has worn the captain's armband.

After finishing outside the top eight last term, there is a chance of that happening again, which would not go down well with the Amakhosi supporters, especially if they don't win the Nedbank Cup.
Without wanting to give too much away, Maart spoke to media about his future at the club during a Soweto Derby press conference, but appeared to leave the door open should other opportunities present themselves. His contract expires at the end of June.
"For me, personally, everything is in the Almighty's hands. Even you guys, you don't know what is your next steps in your future. I leave everything in Almighty's hands.

Asked if he would like to stay at Naturena, Maart said: "It depends what the Almighty puts out for me. It's not what I decide myself because the team comes or that team comes and offers...where the Almighty puts me. I pray a lot and I've asked the Almighty to put me somewhere where I feel it's something worth it for me at the end of the day."
"The desire is you play for a big team, you are here already so if the team offers to stay, obviously we'll stay because it's a big team. If there are things outside where you are going to feel comfortable and I can go for it, then obviously the Almighty will put things out where you need to decide yourself."
The Siya crew has recently reported how Chiefs insiders have indicated the club is keen to keep Maart and are expected to do so, unless there is a late change of plan.
