With Mamelodi Sundowns reportedly set to benefit from Kaizer Chiefs highly-rated academy graduate, Khulumani Ndamane, their former youth coach Farouk Khan has slammed Amakhosi's decision-making.
After Puso Dithejane headlined player exits at Chiefs DStv Diski Challenge in 2024, making an immediate impression at TS Galaxy, even though Amakhosi were crowned Diski Challenge champions last season.

The Glamour Boys winning captain Ntandoyenkosi Nkosi left the club and has also joined The Rockets, with his vice captain Siphesihle Tati also reportedly on his way to the Mpumalanga-based side.
Another big talent that left Chiefs reserves for first team football at Galaxy is Ndamane, who after just one season in the Betway Premiership has already earned Bafana Bafana recognition and is reportedly on the radar of Sundowns.
Khan, who was one of the youth coaches who produced big stars for the Glamour Boys in the 2000s, has questioned the decision to particularly release Ndamane, who is tipped for greater things.
"Sometimes the guys (at Chiefs) are not making the right decisions. That bridge between the first team and reserves, you need to find somebody who knows how to ensure the transition is a smooth one," Khan said on Soccerbeat YouTube Channel.
"This is (just) one good example but if I'm sitting at Chiefs, I would take it as a very good example never to make the same mistake. This guy is (reportedly) going to Mamelodi Sundowns, he's a quality player, I watched him at Galaxy and shook my head and said.
"'For heaven's sake, that's the area Chiefs are struggling, to get that defensive pairing organized, they should never have let this boy go', but hopefully they've learned the lesson and hopefully in future, they'll ensure they have a proper sit down when they release players like Ndamane," Khan added.

Other notable reserve team exits at Chiefs recently includes Thato Khiba, who was signed by Stellenbosch from Galaxy, as a replacement for Jayden Adams, who was transferred to Masandawana.
Stellies left-back Omega Mdaka, also from Amakhosi academy, will fill the void left by Fawaaz Basadien, transferred to the Tshwane giants.
