Despite speculation linking Dzenan Zajmovic with a possible move to Orlando Pirates, sources close to the situation have downplayed the chances of the Bosnian striker joining the Soweto giants – at least for now.
Zajmovic, who recently confirmed his departure from TS Galaxy, had sparked interest in the local football space after a standout 2024/25 season with the Rockets.

However, Soccer Laduma understands that a move to the Buccaneers is not on the cards at this stage.
“Right now, Pirates is not a likely destination,” a reliable source told the Siya crew.
“There have been rumours, but nothing solid. What’s more likely is a move to North Africa, possibly Algeria, where there is interest – and the chance to work again under Sead Ramovic could be part of the equation,” the source added.

Ramovic, the former TS Galaxy coach who helped shape Zajmovic’s resurgence, is currently coaching in the region, and it’s believed the pair could reunite under more stable conditions.
The 30-year-old forward was one of Galaxy’s most influential performers last season, netting 11 goals across all competitions, including seven in the Betway Premiership, three in the Nedbank Cup, and one in the Carling Knockout, while also providing two assists.
