The 30-year-old defender, who can slot in at left-back or centre-back, joins the Baghdad-based outfit after two seasons in South Africa, where he represented Amakhosi in both domestic and continental competitions.
Back in July, the Siya crew reported that Dove was keeping an open mind about his future as his search for a new club took longer than expected to reach a conclusion. At the time, he had attracted interest from several teams in South Africa and abroad but was weighing up his options carefully.
“There has been interest, but nothing finalised yet. He is open to signing in Mozambique or in other African leagues if that’s where the opportunity makes sense both professionally and personally,” a source close to the player told Soccer Laduma at the time.
Now, after months of speculation, Dove has taken on a fresh challenge in Asia with one of Iraq’s most decorated clubs. Al Quwa Al Jawiya, who are also known as Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya Club, who boast a proud history in the Iraqi Premier League and on the continental stage.
