The addition of new faces at Kaizer Chiefs means there will be more competition at Naturena, with Nasreddine Nabi having depth to play both locally and on the continent.
Lebohang Maboe has been signed by the club and while he is unlikely to walk straight into the line-up when they take on Mamelodi Sundowns at FNB Stadium tonight, he does have a good chance of being a regular in the first 11 going forward.

Chiefs have signed Ethan Chislett, Flavio Silva, Nkanyiso Shinga, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Thabiso Monyane, Paseka Mako and Etiosa Ighodaro. They also have Asanele Velebayi and Luke Baartman, who are waiting for their case with Cape Town Spurs to be resolved before they can make their official debuts for the Soweto giants.
The PSL Dispute Resolution Chamber has declared Velebayi and Baartman as free agents after Spurs were relegated to the amateur ranks in the ABC Motsepe League, but the club has appealed, so the duo has to wait a little longer before stepping onto the pitch for a competitive match. Once they are available to play, they will certainly push for a place in the starting line-up.
