Mamelodi Sundowns may not be done letting go of players just yet, with the possibility of a defender making an exit on loan.
Soccer Laduma understands that there are growing concerns over the lack of game time for Kegan Johannes at Sundowns, since joining them from SuperSport United. Johannes arrived at Chloorkop with an injury he was recovering from and it took a bit of time before he was fully fit to play for the Tshwane giants.

Once he was fully fit, competition proved to be tough, with Khuliso Mudau owning the right back position at the club last season. The 24-year-old Johannes made six appearances in all competitions last season.
Coming into this season, Johannes was given the green light to join South Africa's CHAN squad, and he is now back after they were knocked out in the group stages. But competition remains a big concern, and staying at Chloorkop could mean that he spends more time watching Sundowns matches from the stands.
Johannes can play at right back or central defence, but competition in both positions is tough, with Keanu Cupido and Zuko Mdunyelwa recently emerging as starters in the team.

While Soccer Laduma understands that the player is determined to fight for his spot in the team, a loan move has not been ruled out as yet.
Sundowns are still making some considerations. They have been trimming their squad, but the club also wants to make sure that they have enough to tackle what's going to be another long season.
The Siya crew contacted Sundowns for comment on the situation, but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.
