Tim Sukazi's decision to let Kamogelo Sebelebele join Orlando Pirates had more to do with his career than it was about money.
Of course, money is important. But Sukazi felt that the player had a better chance of getting into the Bafana Bafana squad at Pirates than he did at Galaxy. And, barely two months since the player completed the move to the Soweto giants, he is in Hugo Broos' Bafana squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Nigeria in early September.

Sukazi feels Galaxy has an important role of developing players for the country and it's for that reason he is often open to letting players join bigger clubs when the right offers come. And, in recent times, Galaxy have been well represented by current and former players in the national team. Sebelebele is in the current Bafana squad, together with former Galaxy defender Samukelo Kabini and Khulumani Ndamane, who is still with the club.
"We just recently transferred Sebelebele to Orlando Pirates. He has been a consistent performer at our club for at least the last two seasons. People may think it was just money. No! Money, yes, is a good part of it, but the truth is Sebelebele has been giving the same level of performance at TS Galaxy, but he never made the main squad (Bafana Bafana) and he was never going to make it," Sukazi said to Soccer Laduma.
"What then do you do? Do you keep this talent here because you need it or because you that you can, or find ways of allowing the young man to have the opportunity to realise his best potential? And the best way can’t be better than him playing for a big club. He went to Orlando Pirates. On a 60 percent performance of what he was doing here, he will be in the national team. He will make the Bafana Bafana main squad. He has shown that he is currently the best winger in the league and no national team coach can’t afford to have such a player, otherwise it would be a travesty. So, you transfer a player like that for those reasons as well, for his own sake and career. Never mind your own interests."

With the Africa Cup of Nations coming up at the end of the year, Sebelebele has a good opportunity to put himself in a position of being selected for the final squad. These two World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Nigeria provide the perfect opportunity to impress in training and on match day.
