Kaizer Chiefs have announced that head coach Nasreddine Nabi will not travel to Cape Town with the team for their opening Betway Premiership clash against Stellenbosch FC.
Amakhosi are set to take on Stellies at Athlone Stadium in a sold out arena on Sunday, but they will be without their head coach on the bench following a personal matter which has seen him needing to travel to Tunisia.

In a statement, Chiefs revealed that there is an accident that Nabi's wife has been involved in and he will be away until further notice.
"A critical accident involving his wife has occurred at his home in Tunisia, prompting the coach to travel this evening to be with her and the family. Coach Nabi will return to South Africa once the situation has stabilised. Kaizer Chiefs would like to extend its best wishes to Coach Nabi and his family during this challenging time. We ask all supporters to keep them in your thoughts and prayers," read the statement.

Amakhosi will have to get the job done without their head coach on the bench, as they need a good start to set the tone for the season.
