Kaizer Chiefs recently sold their captain to a European club, and now a club from the same foreign league has been linked to another Amakhosi player, the Siya crew has been informed.
The Soweto giants are actively seeking to bolster their striking department while simultaneously they would want to retain their best players.

Following Yusuf Maart's move to Austrian side SV Ried in the winter, Kaizer Chiefs may have to deal with another Austrian Bundesliga club.
The insiders close to both the player and Chiefs have indicated that the Austrian side is assessing striker Ashley Du Preez, who has previously attracted interest from Portuguese side Vitoria SC.
"There is a team in Austria who are interested in Ashley Du Preez. The team is in the market for an attacking-minded player. They are looking at a player who can fill the void at the club, and they want versatility and flexibility. They believe Ashley fits that bill at the moment, and that's why it's believed that they are interested in him," the insider told the Siya crew.
A second source stated that it won't be easy for Chiefs to lose a striker while they are looking for another striker to add to the squad.

"You can recall this is not the first interest from Europe (in Du Preez) but the team is not ready to let him go. The club just recently extended his contract for another two years because they have plans around him and that makes it hard for them to let him go," the second source revealed.
Du Preez joined Chiefs in 2022 from Stellenbosch FC, and in the three seasons so far, he has featured in a good amount of Betway Premiership games.
At this point, there has been no indication from the Siya sources that the Bundesliga club has reached out to Chiefs to make a bid for Du Preez yet.
