Transition
After conceding an early goal, Chiefs were devastating on counter-attacks, with Gaston Sirino, who dropped deep in midfield, used as a link to connect with the likes of Christian Saile, Ranga Chivaviro and Mduduzi Shabalala.
The last time Amakhosi won trophies, Baxter had just introduced a counter-attacking game, something that was rare for a big team to employ.
But under Nabi, Chiefs' transitions appeared less direct but much quicker and with precision and hence they had less possession than Gallants in both halves, 42% overall.
Speed
The Glamour Boys' attack carried much pace, with Chivaviro, Saile and Shabalala quick to get into the final third.
The Soweto giants, under the Tunisian, could be a much running team, as much as they carry the flair of the game going forward.
Attack-minded
In just the first game under Nabi, Chiefs created plenty of chances and looking at the statistics, Amakhosi had 25 goal attempts.
At the peak of the season, in the last campaign, taking into account Chiefs' last three games, they averaged 11 goal attempts per game, which in comparison shows a massive improvement in creating chances under the former AS FAR mentor.

Tactical discipline
Amakhosi players were hardly scattered and each player knew what role they were playing as an individual and how they fit into a collective.
Nabi setup his stall in a 4-3-3 but when they went forward, it became a 3-4-3, with Bradley Cross joining the midfield with his overlapping runs and Rushwin Dortley shifting to the left.
On the other hand, Reeve Frosler hardly ventured forward to keep a rest defence of four, with Yusuf Maart dropping deep and that worked for them, as they did not concede too many counter-attacks.
Belief in youth
Chiefs had two academy graduates Samkelo Zwane (22)and Mduduzi Shabalala (20) in the line-up.
In the second stanza, Mfundo Vilakazi (18) and Wandile Duba (20) were introduced with the game still level at 1-1.
At least three of the youngsters were responsible for the two goals scored, as after Shabalala equalised, Vilakazi scored the winner from an assist by Duba.
