After Kaizer Chiefs signed Thabiso Monyane and Paseka Mako coming from Orlando Pirates, Amakhosi legend Brian Baloyi has revealed the agony of choosing between the two Soweto giants.
The Glamour Boys announcing Monyane and Mako as one of their new signings ahead of the new season, the move has obviously triggered the emotions of other players who have played for both the Soweto giants.

The list of players to play for both Soweto rivals includes the likes of Marks Maponyane, Pollen Ndlanya, Jimmy Tau, Gert Schalkwyk, Sphelele Mthembu, Lehlohonolo Majoro and many others.
When the Soweto derby comes around in the 2025/26 campaign, Monyane and Mako are guaranteed to receive a hostile reception from the Buccaneers supporters.
One former player who emerged as a hero for Chiefs in a number of Soweto derbies, Baloyi, has revealed that he actually grew up supporting Pirates.
"I'm not confused. The person that always tries to expose me is Jerry Sikhosana, every time we're together in many interviews, he always tells people that I'm a Pirates supporter and I don't deny it," Baloyi said iDiski Dine YouTube Channel.
"But the reason I support Pirates is that my uncle played for Pirates, my uncle was a Pirates captain, Phil Jones Setshedi. So growing up my whole family supported Pirates.

"So this is what I say to people, I love Chiefs (but on the other hand) I support Pirates. It's the love (that I go with)," the former Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper revealed, when pressed where his love lies.
Perhaps Sikhosana got the courage to get the better of Baloyi in their personal rivalries in the Soweto derbies, because he could get under his skin.
The rumour that Chiefs have allegedly signed Pirates star forward Monnapule Saleng could take the rivalry between the two clubs into another level.
