Kaizer Chiefs' pre-season training camp in the Netherlands has produced a surprise, with one of Amakhosi's players attracting serious interest from European scouts who attended the team's matches.
Soccer Laduma has learned that skillful midfielder Nkosingiphile "Mshini" Ngcobo has caught the attention of European talent spotters, potentially opening a new chapter in his career.

Sources close to the club have indicated that Ngcobo's performances during the Netherlands tour impressed scouts who were monitoring the pre-season fixtures.
"The interest was shown while we were in the Netherlands. There were recruiters and scouts from a European team who enquired about Mshini. They were impressed with what they saw. There was nothing much because it was a pre-season camp but they are interested," the insider told Soccer Laduma.
A second source stated that this European interest coincides with a significant shift in coach Nasreddine Nabi's assessment of the midfielder, who previously appeared to be on the periphery of the first-team plans.

"It's believed that at first, coach Nabi was not a fan for Nkosingiphile (Ngcobo), but apparently, now he has shown more belief in him and he seems to want to use him more. So, with this interest from Europe, this could mean a change in fortune for him as well (locally)," the second source told the Siya crew.
The 25-year-old creative midfielder, a product of Amakhosi's youth development system, was promoted to the senior team during the 2018/19 season. Last season, he featured in a fair amount of Betway Premiership matches but struggled to cement a regular starting position.
The attention he received from the Netherlands and the way he has caught Nabi's eye in pre-season, could mean that Mshini may have an important role at Chiefs in the upcoming campaign. That is if he's not snapped up by a foreign club first.
Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for comment regarding the European interest, but received no response at the time of publishing this story.
