Following the announcement that Mohau Nkota will be joining Al Ettifaq, Soccer Laduma looks at who some of his teammates will be, including a midfielder who won the UEFA Champions League with Liverpool.
Nkota was with the Pirates first team for just one season, but made such a big impact for the club. He not only showed his quality domestically, but in the CAF Champions League as well, scoring some important goals for the club.

Making a move to Saudi Arabia could be the start of big things in his career, especially with some of the teammates he will be sharing a dressing room with. It's these players who could influence both his game and character off the pitch, as playing overseas is not always easy, especially being far away from family.
He will have an opportunity to learn from some experienced players and this could also see him coming back to play a key role for Bafana Bafana. With the Africa Cup of Nations coming later this year, Nkota will no doubt be looking to hit the ground running at his new home.

Nkota missed out on being teammates with former Everton and Leicester City winger Demarai Gray, who left recently to join Birmingham City. Former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson was at the club between 2023 and 2024.
The Saudi Pro League has attracted quite a number of players from Europe and a few will now be teammates with Nkota.
