The story
Former Bafana Bafana and Everton star Steven Pienaar proved why his skills are evergreen after leaving Yakubu for dead with a superb piece of skill.
Pienaar donned the royal blue of the Toffees in a legend's match against AS Roma Legends at Hill Dickinson Stadium, after Everton's new home stadium opened its doors to a full-capacity crowd for the first ever time on Saturday.
"Schillo" reunited with Phil Jagielka, Leighton Baines, Tony Hibbert, Steven Naismith and Yakubu as Everton's icons walked away as 2-0 winners over their Italian counterparts.
In a training session a day before the game at Everton's Finch Farm training base, Pienaar wowed his teammates in the rondo by pulling the ball in between Yakubu's legs.
The cheeky nutmeg had the likes of former Bafana Bafana defender Bongani Khumalo and decorated head coach Pitso Mosimane buzzing in the comments on Instagram, in a clip that reminded fans that class is permanent!
