The story
Siphiwe Tshabalala recently showcased his versatility by translating his football skills to rugby, using the oval-shaped ball for a crossbar challenge.
Known for his iconic left foot on the football pitch, Tshabalala combined the sporting codes of football and rugby by attempting to hit the crossbar using a rugby ball, which doesn’t have a consistent bounce like a round ball.
The light-hearted challenge offered fans a reminder of the 2010 FIFA World Cup cult heroes’ undying technical ability, highlighting why class is permanent in sports.
Shabba placed the rugby ball on a kicking tee and aimed at a football goal post’s crossbar, nailing the bar three times on six attempts.
