The story
Bafana Bafana defender Siyabonga Ngezana recently linked up with renowned house music DJ and producer, Oscar Mbo, to present him with a special gift — his FCSB away jersey from the 2024/25 season.
The gesture highlighted the mutual respect and admiration between the worlds of sport and music, as Ngezana shared a meaningful token from his professional journey with one of South Africa's celebrated house music talents.
To reciprocate the love shown to him, Mbo was on hand to sign one of Ngezana's leather paperboy hats, with both stars in their fields sharing the content of their meet-up on their respective Instagram stories.
It's the off-season for Ngezana after claiming his second successive Romanian league title, making the League's best 11 of the season and stamping his mark on Hugo Broos' Bafana Bafana side.
Although he'll miss out on Bafana's upcoming friendlies in Polokwane against Tanzania and Mozambique, the former Kaizer Chiefs centre-back will likely remain a key figure when the men's national team renew its bid to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup against Lesotho and Nigeria in September.
