The story
Kaizer Chiefs Football Manager Bobby Motaung combined his passion for golf and giving back in celebrating his birthday last week.
Motaung, who turned 55 on Thursday, hosted the Bobby Motaung Foundation golf day on his special day in Bryanston.
Launched in 2021, Motaung's foundation aims to provide financial support for community projects in need and to inspire youth through sports, with additional assistance for religious programs in Soweto.
From entertainment guru, TT Mbha, to club legends Fabian McCarthy and Brian Baloyi, as well as South African football icon Doctor Khumalo, there was a host of major names taking time to celebrate Kaizer Motaung's oldest son.
Bobby's foundation and birthday golf day at the Eye of Africa Golf Estate also included on-course beauty treatments for the golfers, adding to the glam of the event that was sold out days before tee-off, according to national broadcaster SABC Sport.
Here are some highlights from Bobby's 55th birthday celebration:
Former Amakhosi captain Itumeleng Khune was also at the golf day to celebrate his former employer, with Mzansi's former number one shot-stopper posting a touching tribute to Bobby on Instagram.
