Orlando Pirates continued their preparations for the new season with a 1-1 draw against Pafos FC on Sunday afternoon.
Buccaneers coach Abdeslam Ouaddou kept faith with Sipho Mbule in the midfield while fellow new signings Oswin Appollis and Yanele Mbuthuma got their first starts on tour.
The Cypriot side took the lead inside the opening on six minutes when Joao Correia was slipped through the left side of the box before firing past goalkeeper Sipho Chaine.
The Soweto giants did get back on level terms in the 25th minute when Mofokeng did well to skip past his marker in the box before calmly finding the for corner with a left-footed finished after a superb pass from Appollis.
The Buccaneers finished the first half better than they started, as they enjoyed a lot more of the possession in the final 10 minutes while Mbule and Kabelo Dlamini also tried their luck with efforts from distance.
Coach Ouaddou made three changes at the start of the second half for the Soweto giants, throwing on goalkeeper Siyabonga Dladla, Cemran Dansin and Boitumelo Radiopane for Chaine, Mbule and Mbuthuma.
Radiopane looked to make an impact upon his arrival as he went close to given Pirates the lead just before the hour mark after a neat turn in the box, but sent his effort just wide of the upright.
There were more changes introduced as the second half went on, with the likes of Tshepang Moremi, Karim Kimvuidi, Patrick Maswanganyi and Lebone Seema.
Here's how they line up:
Orlando Pirates: Chaine, Van Rooyen, Sibisi, Mbokazi, Hotto, Mbatha, Dlamini, Mbule, Appollis, Mofokeng, Mbuthuma
