Thembinkosi Lorch is having the time of his life at the FIFA Club World Cup and a former teammate of his has given him valuable advice regarding his future.
Currently on loan to Wydad Casablanca from Mamelodi Sundowns, the 31-year-old attacker has arguably been the Moroccan club's best player in the USA, scoring their only goal in the tournament in the 4-1 defeat to Italian giants Juventus on Sunday. This was after he was a top performer for the club in their opening Group G game against Premier League giants Manchester City.
Jackson Mabokgwane, who played with Lorch at Orlando Pirates, feels there is no reason for the player to return to Sundowns.
"Lorch should go on to greater heights, or he should stay on at Wydad," Mabokgwane said to Soccer Laduma. "He's happy and he's alive again and that's what happiness does," the former Sundowns goalkeeper added.

He may be 31, but Mabokgwane does not rule out the possibility of Lorch getting a European offer after the Club World Cup.
"If he continues this way, he'll get an offer elsewhere, maybe Europe after the Club World Cup."
Wydad have no chance of progressing to the knockout stages at the Club World Cup, but Lorch will be looking to make a mark one last time when they take on UAE Pro League club Al Ain in the final round robin clash.
Indications are that Lorch will not be part of the Sundowns team for next season. Wydad are interested in holding on to him, but Soccer Laduma has been informed that there is interest in the player in North Africa and outside the African continent.
