Man Utd's difficult season was summed up after they succumbed to a shock 1-0 loss to league rivals and fellow strugglers Tottenham Hotspur courtesy of a Luke Shaw own goal.
The result heaped further pressure on Red Devils manager Ruben Amorim, who has now won just sixteen out of 41 games since taking over in November from Erik Ten Hag.
Speaking after the game, Amorim admitted that he would not quit the role but said he would walk away without compensation if the club asked him to, Manchester Evening News reported.
"In this moment, it’s a little bit of faith. So let’s see," Amorim said.
"Like I said before, coming here before in the flash, I am always open. If the board and fans feel that I’m not the right guy, I will go the next day without any conversation about compensation."
He added: "But I will not quit again. I am really confident in my job and, as you can see, I will not change nothing [sic] in the way I do things."
