Spanish publication Marca reported that the five-time Ballon D'Or winner was linked with a loan move to the Moroccan side as part of their transfer plans for the FIFA Club World Cup.
This comes after previous reports suggested that Ronaldo was also linked with a move to one of the Brazilian sides playing in the competition, with Botafogo tipped as one of the favourites.
In response to the links to the former Real Madrid forward, Wydad's technical director Hassan Benabicha revealed the truth behind the rumours, as reported by Yallakora.
Benabicha reportedly said the links to Ronaldo were untrue and he denied reports of a move for the Portuguese captain.
He added that Wydad were planning to sign players "at a distinguished level" in a bid to strengthen the team ahead of the Club World Cup.
The Moroccan side has already announced its intention to extend the deals for South African duo Thembinkosi Lorch and Cassius Mailula ahead of the tournament.
