With Ousmane Dembele heavily linked with a move away from Barcelona, the club's sporting director has come out with a statement confirming the Frenchman's future.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Barca chief Mateu Alemany has confirmed that the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner will be a Paris Saint-Germain player by the end of the transfer window.
"Ousmane Dembele is on his way to Paris. The deal is done, we just have to sign all documents," the 60-year-old said, as per Romano.
The 26-year-old was not in the squad for the Blaugrana's most recent pre-season win against Tottenham Hotspur, suggesting that manager Xavi Hernandez has already conceded that he will be without the forward for the 2023/24 campaign.
Earlier this month, the Spanish tactician expressed his disappointment at potentially losing the pacey attacker, with Les Parisiens boss claiming there was no way the Catalan giants could compete with the offer the French side had offered the winger.
"Ousmane Dembele told us that he wants to leave and join PSG. We can't compete, PSG bid is huge and out of the market — he spoke to Luis Enrique and [PSG president Nasser] Al-Khelaifi," Xavi said, as per Romano.
"It hurts me because we took care of him to make him happy here. But we can't compete, he's leaving."
The attacker arrived in Catalonia in 2017, but for much of his career with the Spanish giants was plagued by injuries. Xavi's appointment as manager, however, coincided with the France international enjoying his best form in a Barca jersey last season as he helped the club to their first LALIGA title in four years.

It now appears that the forward's future lies at the Parc des Princes as he looks to be on the verge of completing a return to Ligue 1.
