Reports claim that that the two clubs have been locked in negotiations in the last week trying to work out a deal.
According to Le Site Info, Sundowns have now shown some flexibility on their $1 million (around R20 million) asking price for the former Orlando Pirates star and Wydad are now looking to complete a deal in the coming days.
Wydad are reportedly keen to pay a lower fee as Lorch will be turning 32 in a couple weeks while the club are also aiming to bring in more reinforcements.
The report adds that Lorch has already given his approval to the Botola Pro 1 outfit over a new deal and has since travelled back to South Africa while awaiting the outcome of the talks.
Lorch was one of Wydad's top performers at the Club World Cup, which included scoring a goal against Juventus while he was the second highest-rated player before Phil Foden in the loss to Manchester City.
