FC Barcelona are reportedly planning a homecoming club legend Lionel Messi, whose contract with Inter Miami expires later this year.
Messi did not get to bid farewell to the Barcelona supporters when he left the club on a free transfer back in 2021 and joined Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan giants are planning to invite the World Cup winner back for a tribute for the grand re-opening of the Camp Nou.
The Camp Nou has been undergoing renovations in the last year, with the stadium expected to be completed in time for the 2026/27 season.
The report adds that the tribute will be seen as an official farewell to the 38-year-old, who scored 672 goals 778 appearances while he also won 35 trophies.
Meanwhile, reports claim that Messi is closing to penning a new deal with Inter Miami, with the Athletic claiming the new deal will see the player lead the MLS side into their new stadium next year.
