According to Marca, the lack of work rate of Mbappe and Vincius has been identified as a problem for the new coach Alonso going into the 2025/26 domestic season, claiming that the egos of both players have played a part.
Both Mbappe and Vinicius were unable to trouble PSG in the semi-final, while the latter's form at the tournament has come under the microscope.
The report adds that Alonso is adamant that no player will be exempt from defensive duties while the board have communicated to the coach that they will back in that department.
The club and Alonso are set to sit down with some of the players, including Vinicius about their desires and level of commitment.
Alonso was asked directly about Mbappe and Vinicius' defensive duties after the loss on Wednesday night.
“I speak as a team, and today, at certain times, it’s sometimes good to see our mistakes and learn from them in the future," he said, as per Football Espana.
"If we repeat the same mistakes over and over again, we won’t be smart."
