Egyptian publication Masrawy reported that the Pyramids trio of Fiston Mayele, Blati Toure, and Mohamed Chibi are all at risk of missing the final.
This comes after the Egyptian Football Association (FA) announced that the Egyptian Cup final will take place on 5 June, after the Sky Blues had requested a postponement due to their participation in the CAF Champions League final.
"It has been decided to hold the Egypt Cup final between Zamalek and Pyramids FC at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium at Al Jazira Club in the UAE on June 5, due to Pyramids FC’s involvement in the CAF Champions League final," a source told Masrawy.
The cup final was originally scheduled for 20 May, just four days before Pyramids are set to play against Mamelodi Sundowns in the first leg of the CAF showpiece game.
However, with the final date now set, the Pyramids trio is at high risk of missing the final due to international duty.
