The former Maritzburg United player has taken the Tanzanian side to greater heights this season with the team qualifying for the CAF Confederation Cup final. Davids's troops also remain in the hunt for domestic success in the league and cup.
According to Tanzania's IPP Media, the Cape Town-born manager is reportedly optimistic that his team can put up a strong showing in next season's CAF Champions League.
The Reds of Msimbazi will likely enter the competition in the final qualifying round and Davids wants to use the momentum of the current season to build into next season.
"Simba SC is fully committed to our Champions League ambition,” the ex-Pirates coach said.
"Having embarked on this project just eight or nine months ago, our objective is clear: to dominate the continent’s premier club competition. We are on track to qualify for the CAF Champions League," Davids added.
The club has also reportedly outlined a strategic vision, similar to that of Mamelodi Sundowns owner Patrice Motsepe, to ensure that Simba becomes one of the dominant teams in African football.
"We are still in the early stages of this project,” a club official noted.

"There is much more to come, and our young squad hasn’t yet reached its full potential. The experience from this Confederation Cup run is invaluable.
"However, next season will require strengthening the squad to compete at the highest level," the official added.
