Riveiro has had a difficult start to life in Egypt, achieving just one win from six games since taking over before the FIFA Club World Cup.
While Riveiro is set to stay with the Red Devils beyond the match against Pyramids this coming weekend, there are rumours that the club's Planning Committee may consider parting ways with the ex-Orlando Pirates boss should he fail to win against the Sky Blues, according to News Room.
As uncertainty continues, Egyptian reports revealed that the club had considered hiring former Al Ahly boss Pitso Mosimane to replace the ex-Buccaneers coach.
However, the publication revealed that sources within the club said the idea was out of the question and the rumours were "baseless." The club would not consider a reunion with their former coach at present.
According to Mobtada, the club reaffirmed that Riveiro would remain with the club for the foreseeable future and that his departure has not been discussed.

Many within the club believe that Riveiro is still at the beginning of his journey and will be given enough time to get the team back to winning ways.
