Folz was unveiled as Yanga's boss for the upcoming campaign, and the Frenchman will have a tough task to replicate the team's success of last season.
Yanga were crowned Tanzanian Premier League champions, beating Davids' side in the final game of the season and pipping them to the title.
While both sides will be favourites for the league title next season, they will also represent Tanzania in next season's CAF Champions League.
Former Simba captain Mohamed Hussein has joined Yanga on a two-year deal just a few weeks after the player parted ways with Fadlu Davids' side.
The 28-year-old was a crucial part of Simba's team since his move to the side in 2014. Known for his tactical awareness, overlapping runs and calmness, he will be a valuable addition to Folz's side for the new season. He was made Simba captain in 2017.
