When Bernard Parker started the 2014/15 campaign, he was South Africa’s highest valued player based on Europea site Transfermarkt’s standards, but he has since seen his value drop on the platform.
The striker managed to hit an all-time high on his Transfermarkt market-value figures when he finished as the leading goal-scorer last term to see his value shoot to €1.1million (R14 million).
Parker has, however, struggled to mimic the form he experienced in his 10-goal haul for Chiefs last term, finding the back of the net just five times in the league.
His troubled form, which was largely instigated by an ankle injury he sustained in early 2014, has seen his market value drop to €1 million (R12.8 million).
Die Hond is not the only Chiefs player to see his value drop, with Itumeleng Khune and Siphiwe Tshabalala both seeing their price-tags on the site dropped too.
Do you think it is fair that Parker’s value has dropped?
