Former Cape Town City striker Khanyisa Mayo confirms he had several offers for his services but reveals why he chose the unique CR Belouizdad challenge.

The 25-year-old striker was unveiled by the Algerian club on a three-year deal as first reported by the Siya crew.
Mayo subsequently met up with his new teammates where he will join the 2023/24 Algerian Ligue 1's runners up for their pre-season preparations.
In his first interview with the club's media department, Mayo revealed why he opted for the uncharted Algerian territory as opposed to remaining in the Betway Premiership.
"The negotiations with the president went well. The president is a respectable person who traveled to South Africa to convince me to join the team. He informed me of the club's history and I learned that it is one of the biggest clubs in Algeria, which is why I am here today," he said.
"We negotiated everything smoothly, and as for me, I look forward to moving forward with my new family thanks to the president with whom I have built good relations and who welcomed me to join the team. I am grateful to have joined the team."
"I chose this club despite the interest of several clubs in my services, and this is because of my love for this great team. It is located in one of the most beautiful cities in Algeria, distinguished by its hospitable people, and because I love the colours white and red, I chose Belouizdad."
