The French giants were unable to score in either leg of their round of 16 tie against Bayern Munich, losing 3-0 on aggregate.
On Tuesday night, the German giants were too strong on home soil as they secured a 2-0 victory over Christophe Galtier's side, with Mbappe and Lionel Messi largely anonymous throughout the encounter.
Speaking after the game at the Allianz Arena, Mbappe, who captained PSG after Marquinhos was replaced due to an injury, suggested that Les Parisiens have discovered their limit in European competition.
"They have a team that's built to win the Champions League," he said, according to RMC Sport.
"At the start of the season, in the first Champions League press conference, I said we'd do the maximum we could.
"This is the maximum we can do."
Mbappe ends his 2022/23 UCL campaign with 10 goal contributions in eight matches.
