First and foremost, happy Independence Day to Zimbabwe and all our beautiful readers from the neighboring country. What a talented land and what great gifts they have given us over the years, from Knowledge Musona and Peter Ndlovu to their latest offering Tendai Ndoro… These are some of the most deadly strikers ever to grace the continent.
Orlando Pirates has seen a remarkable turnaround in form; they are walking through teams they were losing to earlier in the season as if they are not even there. Furthermore, they have unraveled a gift, one that was hidden but is now seeing the light – Tendai Ndoro...
Supporters Club caught up with two Orlando Pirates supporters, Lindisipho Xubuzana, and Gio De Waal, to find out just what they thought of their star man, Ndoro.
"Ndoro is in great form, that guy is going to put us on the right track," Xubuzana said. "He has been at the club a long time, the only difference is that now he has been given a chance. I can honestly say that I can compare Ndoro to the late Lesley Manyathela, the way he can so easily receive the ball on one foot and move it to the other."
"He is our very own Knowledge Musona," De Waal argued. "You can just see that killer instinct in his eyes. That guy knows what he is doing. Just like Musona had a no-nonsense approach to scoring goals, I see that same approach from Ndoro. He is going to take us far."
Jimmy Tau last week suggested that Ndoro reminds him of the late Lesley Manyathela… Interesting comparison!
Who would you compare Ndoro to? Will Pirates be able to hold on to him for much longer?
