Lehlohonolo Majoro, a former Kaizer Chiefs striker with a career that has spanned several top clubs, recently shared his admiration for rising star Wandile Duba, a player he believes is on the path to greatness.

Majoro, who scored 20 goals in 71 appearances for Chiefs, is now focusing on nurturing future talent through his striker's academy, Major Elite Striker's Academy (MESA).

With his experience as a professional footballer, Majoro has become a keen observer of young players, and his praise for Duba reflects his belief in the 22-year-old's potential.

The 38-year-old's career was marked by notable achievements, particularly at Chiefs, where he played a crucial role in the team's attack. After calling time on his playing career, Majoro has dedicated himself to coaching and mentoring emerging talent, with his academy aimed at producing the next generation of strikers.

Majoro's insights into the game are grounded in years of experience, and he sees something special in Duba, who has been making a name for himself at Chiefs, starting with the young player's confidence.

"Duba is confident, that's why I love him," Majoro told the Siya crew.

"Most players or most people will overlook it and mistake it for arrogance. Duba is not arrogant. Duba is confident and a bonafide winner. He will do everything, even tracking back. And yes, sometimes like from that, aggression like it appears as if he's angry or that he's frustrated, but like, it's him being a player that wants to win."

One of the most impressive aspects of Duba's game, according to Majoro, is his versatility. Although Duba started his career as a striker, Majoro points out that the young player has adapted well to playing more on the wing.

"He was a striker before, but now he plays more on the side, he does score goals. He's learning that role now he's even assisting. And so like I was very proud of him for the game that he got injured when he broke through, instead of him taking a shot, he said, 'let me lay it off' and that even emphasize the love that I have for him even more because I saw the maturity that he has in him, the growth that he's showing in a team of Kaizer Chiefs' calibre."
