While Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will be battling it out at FNB Stadium, Mamelodi Sundowns will have another opportunity to edge closer to the Betway Premiership title.
After booking a spot in the CAF Champions League final, Sundowns registered a comfortable 3-0 win over Richards Bay on Wednesday evening, putting themselves in a good position following Pirates' loss to Sekhukhune United.

Now with just five matches left for the Tshwane giants this season, they need just 10 more points to wrap up an eighth consecutive Premiership title. It would be even less if Pirates fail to beat Amakhosi this weekend.
If Pirates win their remaining matches of the season, they would be on 67 points. As things stand, Sundowns are just nine points away from that tally and would need an extra point to wrap up another title.
With Royal AM expelled from the Betway Premiership, clubs are expected to finish the campaign on 28 matches, compared to the usual 30.

Sundowns can put themselves in an even better position by beating struggling Cape Town City away from home on Saturday. Currently fighting for dear life, the Citizens are in horrible form, despite the quality they have in the squad.
Sundowns would no doubt be fancying their chances to collect maximum points against a side that is looking increasingly likely to go into the end of season play-offs.
