Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Edmilson Dove is keeping an open mind about his next move, as his search for a new club is taking longer than initially expected, the Siya crew has learnt.
Dove, who recently parted ways with Amakhosi after two seasons, had initially attracted interest from several clubs in South Africa and abroad, as reported by Soccer Laduma last month.

However, with pre-season already underway in many parts of the continent, the experienced Mozambican international is still assessing his options.
According to sources close to the player, Dove is not ruling out a return to Mozambique or a move elsewhere in Africa if the right offer presents itself.
“He’s weighing everything carefully now,” a source told the Siya crew.
“There has been interest, but nothing finalised yet. He is open to signing in Mozambique or in other African leagues if that’s where the opportunity makes sense both professionally and personally,” added the source.

The 30-year-old, who can play at left-back or centre-back, remains a valuable asset with his versatility, CAF experience, and calm presence on the ball.
His leadership qualities and understanding of the game have seen him feature regularly for the Mozambican national team over the years, including in their successful qualification for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
