Belgian club, Lokeren, have fined South African midfielder, Ayanda Patosi, after he decided not to pitch up for training last week.
The 21-year-old has had a difficult few months, with his coach criticising his attitude and the player missing two flights after a Bafana Bafana call up.
While Lokeren's sporting director, Willy Reynders, recently told the Siya crew of Patosi's vast improvement of late, it seems the former Africa Soccer Developments graduate has taken another step backwards.
Reynders told HLN.be, "Patosi spent the last week and a half working hard and he immediately lost four kilograms. The player would have expected that this industriousness would have earned him a place in the squad, but it turned out this was not to be.
"He responded through his disillusionment in an impulsive way by staying away (from training). Of course we cannot accept this and he will get a hefty fine."
Actions such as this one will not help Patosi in his attempts to get his first team place back at the club, and it remains to be seen how long the club will stay patient with him.
