A Mamelodi Sundowns club legend has made an impassioned plea for a prolific striker to remain at the club, despite ongoing speculation about his future.
The intervention comes as uncertainty continues to surround one of Africa's most lethal forwards, whose contractual situation at the Brazilians has dominated headlines recently.

With reports linking Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile away from the club, there is a question mark over whether he will remain in South Africa this season.
However, on Saturday in the Betway Premiership opening game against Chippa United, which ended in a 1-1 draw, the Namibian was part of the squad, as previously reported by Soccer Laduma.
Now former Sundowns midfielder Roger Feutmba feels that the club should keep the striker.
Speaking to Soccer Laduma in an exclusive interview, the Cameroonian-born legend said that Shalulile still has a lot to contribute to Sundowns.
"He is still a Sundowns player. You know he is the best striker not only in South Africa but in Africa as well, and he still has a lot to offer to the club and South African football. He he has to stay and continue performing for the team," Feutmba told Soccer Laduma.
The midfield legend further stated that he knows Shalulile loves Sundowns and that he wants to remain at the club.

"Shalulile doesn't have a problem staying at Sundowns. I talk to him regularly, and I know he loves the team. It's difficult for a player to leave a club where he has achieved so much. Yes, we know that last season he didn't play that much, but he still can contribute a lot positively to the team, and that's why I say he should stay. You see his commitment even when he is not playing. That's the spirit of a person who loves the team and wants to stay on. So I think it would really be a good idea if he stays on at the club," Feutmba told the Siya crew.
Shalulile has been the subject of transfer rumours, particularly since Sundowns returned from the FIFA Club World Cup in July. It remains to be seen if the Namibia star will remain at the Brazilians after all.
