Sundowns' Namibian striker Peter Shalulile is believed to be on his way out of the club after he was left out of the squad for the MTN8 clash against Richards Bay last week.
Previous reports indicated that Tunisian giants Esperance were in talks with the Brazilians to bring Shalulile over to Tunisia, with the possibility of South African winger Elias Mokwana moving in the opposite direction.
According to WinWin, Tunisian giants Esperance submitted a bid of $750,000 (R13 million) for the 31-year-old, but Masandawana were reportedly holding out for a bid in the region of $950,000 (R16 million).
While Taraji remains hopeful of securing Shalulile's signature, another African giant has now reported interest in luring him away from Esperance's clutches.
Sudanese giants Al Hilal had reportedly submitted their bid (no figures revealed) in an attempt to sign the Namibian, starting a bidding war between the two African giants.
The 15-time league champions had extended Shalulile's contract, which had expired at the end of last season, for one more year, meaning clubs would be free to negotiate with him.

Shalulile's Sundowns departure would mark the end of a hugely successful era at the club, where he scored 101 goals and added 26 assists in 205 games, winning six trophies and three league top goal scorer awards.
