Nabi: He Was One Of The Best Coaches

It has been 10 days since Kaizer Chiefs were last in action - but their coach Nasreddine Nabi is confident of a good showing in their match against AmaZulu FC on Wednesday evening, where he will come up against a familiar rival.

Chiefs were last in action on 15 September where they put on a brave showing in a come-from-behind win over Marumo Gallants at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein.

Their fans have had to wait with bated breath for their next encounter, which comes against AmaZulu, in what is expected to be a packed encounter.

Despite the layoff, the Chiefs coach is confident of his side's chances against Usuthu.

"Our preparation has been good. We have watched the previous game of our opponents, AmaZulu, and analysed the strengths of the team and some areas where we believe they have weaknesses that we can exploit," he told the club's official website.

"The turnaround times between matches can present challenges. If you have more than one week's rest between games you can lose something," the coach says, "but our fitness coaches have been working hard to get the players in the best possible shape to perform at a high level," he says.

Nabi is also looking forward to the encounter against Pablo Franco, who he knows well from his time in Tanzania where they were embroiled in some high octane matches as Simba and Young Africans coaches respectively.

"I know him, he is my friend and in Tanzania he was one of the best coaches and he is someone whose ability I respect, so we will see how it turns out. I hope everyone will enjoy the contest," he said.
