Six years after their shock Nedbank Cup final defeat to TS Galaxy, Kaizer Chiefs have an opportunity to completely bury those memories when they take on Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates in the final of the same competition this weekend.

Galaxy scored late through a Zakhele Lepasa penalty to become the first second tier side to win the competition. Coached by Dan Malesela at the time, Galaxy put up a brave fight against their more fancied opponents and got a penalty late on, which Lepasa calmly slotted home.
Six years on, Chiefs have an opportunity to make it up to their supporters and end a 10-year period without a trophy in the cabinet.
