The rebuilding process at Kaizer Chiefs is still very much in it's infancy and there's still a lot of player profiling going on behind the scenes.
Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has indicated during the course of the season, that the club is still in the process of scouting the best players who can fit into their style.
As reported in edition 1302, Soccer Laduma has been informed by reliable sources, that Chiefs have developed an interest in AmaZulu midfielder Sphesihle Maduna.

Maduna was used sparingly by former Usuthu head coach Benni McCarthy in the 2020/21 season, where the club finished as runners-up on the table.
However, the 22-year old came to life and blossomed under former mentor Brandon Truter who replaced McCarthy, after making 21 appearances in all competitions last season.
Although since Truter's departure, Maduna has been in and out of the team currently coached by Romain Folz, Chiefs seem to have already picked up on his qualities.
The Siya crew has been led to believe that the skillful midfielder's contract is coming to an end when the season concludes and therefore, interested parties can engage his representatives on a pre-contract proposal once the January transfer window opens in a few weeks.
The Glamour Boys have already made similar moves in luring away players from AmaZulu, in recent years after tying up Sibusiso Mabiliso on a pre-contract agreement in 2021 and in January this year Amakhosi also signed Siyethemba Sithebe initially on a pre-contract agreement, that got him in hot water with the Durban based side.
Usuthu President Sandile Zungu has stressed his annoyance over Amakhosi seemingly negotiating with his players, whose contracts are up for renewal, before even the January transfer window officially opens.
However, given the nature of the business and from a player's perspective, football is a short career and tough decisions have to be made.
After being banished for six months for signing a pre-contract with Amakhosi instead of extending his stay at Usuthu, Sithebe shed light on what influenced his decision to join the Naturena-based side, in his farewell message to Zungu.
"Chairman, I do understand that football is a business and things happen in this game and as players, we are guided in our decisions by contracts that we get offered, which I'm sure you understand," Sithebe told Soccer Laduma in his exit interview.
Maduna fits the profile Chiefs are looking for in a player, given that he's still young, creative and has big match temperament.
There has been no talk that Amakhosi have made an official offer to Usuthu but given their history in these type of situations, particularly regarding players from AmaZulu, do not be surprised if the story gains traction towards the reopening of and during the January transfer window.
