The story

Pirates stunned many on early Tuesday afternoon by announcing their acquisition of midfielder Sipho "MasterChef" Mbule, making him the club's first confirmed new signing ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The 27-year-old has been without a club since parting ways with Mamelodi Sundowns. He spent the past season on loan at Sekhukhune United before his loan spell was cut short due to a training ground transgression.

The Sea Robbers took to their various social media platforms to announce Mbule's arrival, and despite not divulging more information about his contract, the Happy People are rejoicing over the skilful midfielder's signature being secured.
