Check Out: Ex-Pirates Coach Shortlisted For Zamalek Role
The White Castle is still searching for a new coach following the club's decision to part ways with Portuguese tactician Jose Peseiro in April this year.
While Ayman El-Ramady performed well in an interim role, the club opted not to appoint him on a permanent basis and decided to look elsewhere for a new coach.
Previous reports said Zamalek had outlined a shortlist of European managers, among them included former Orlando Pirates coach and current JS Kabylie coach Josef Zinnbauer.
According to Zamalek Today, a source within the club revealed the truth behind the links to the German coach and said Zinnbauer was not among the list of names for the next head coach.
The source added that names currently in the media, which has included AS FAR Rabat coach Alexandre Santos as well as Pitso Mosimane, are not true and the new manager's identity remains confidential to the club's board only.
