The story
During his side's pre-season training camp in Tunisia, Rulani Mokwena received a portrait of himself as he prepares his MC Alger troops for a new season.
The artwork was presented by an individual believed to be one of Algeria's top artists, marking a special moment for the coach and his new club.
The gesture reflects the warm welcome Mokwena has received since his arrival in early July and highlights the excitement surrounding what he could do at the club.
Mokwena took over at MC Alger after parting ways with Wydad Athletic Club last season, and the former Masandawana boss will be under pressure to deliver a third successive Ligue 1 Professionnelle title to the club and improve on their quarter-final CAF Champions League finish last season.
