The story
Former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana head coach, Stuart Baxter, has received love from yet another one of his former players.
This time, the Englishman earned praise from former PSL journeyman turned football content creator, Michael Morton.
Baxter, who managed Chiefs in two separate stints and SuperSport United, coached Morton during his time at Matsatsantsa from January 2016 to June 2017.
The 70-year-old has eight South African domestic trophies to his name, including two Nedbank Cup crowns at SuperSport United in the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons.
When asked about his favourite coach during his playing days, Morton told Cape Town's Mike's Sports Store in a podcast interview that Baxter is at the top of his list.
"Favourite coach? There's a lot of guys for different reasons and at different points in my career. Stuart Baxter, in terms of the success I had at SuperSport, and not just for football reasons, he's a great human being and in terms of like philosophy and being a good human and everything, yeah, Baxter is at the top of my list," said Morton.
